Arguments and debates: John 3:23-25

This is so refreshing to read. My mom would always tell me that “One who argues with a fool, is the fool.”

At this time John the Baptist was baptizing at Aenon, near Salim, because there was plenty of water there; and people kept coming to him for baptism. (This was before John was thrown into prison.) Relate: Neal Stephenson said that “arguing with anonymous strangers on the internet is a sucker’s game because they always turn out to be (or to be indistinguishable from) self-righteous sixteen-year-olds possessing infinite amounts of free time.” They say that being argumentative is a typical trait of being a teenager and if that is true then I took “being a teenager” to the extreme.
