Happy birthday to my favorite Beatle ever! You were so awesome in so many ways! I miss you.
Today is the 11th anniversary of the death of George Harrison. This really blows me away as I can still remember the news of his death as a teenager.
I grew up a huge Beatles fan and immediately after his death, I bought his debut solo album “All Things Must Pass”. I must say that out of all the Beatles, he was my favorite because he had an intelligence and perspective of life that the others had yet to see. He was a great lyricist and his guitar skills is so underrated.
I am going to listen to a bunch of his music right now. I miss him.
Got these, went out for a quick run and it was the best feeling on my feet. Oh so good!
It’s my birthday. Meh. I never cared for birthdays. Since it’s in the summer, all my friends were never around. So I really just consider it another day on the calendar. I have never thrown a party for myself ever. My parents did that for me until I was 10. Since then, I just don’t care.
But since I am now living in LA, I find myself trying to occupy my mind with things. And one of the things I love to do is finding great deals. And on Saturday, I got all my “birthday” gifts that I bought for myself.
I ordered some Reebok ZigTech shoes earlier in the week and it came in. I have always wanted these since they came out a couple years ago but never could afford them. I wore them once at a store and they are so comfortable. Retail value of these bad boys are $100 but with my eye for the discount, got them for $35 with free S&H.
Happy birthday to my favorite Beatle ever. Such a great artist and such a great mind. I miss him.
George Harrison: Living in the Material World
As you all know, I am a huge fan of The Beatles. George Harrison is my favorite of all of them. I remember when I was a kid and I pretended that I was in The Beatles and I was George.
Anyway, the Harrison documentary is airing on HBO next week and I need to find a way to watch it. I don’t have HBO so I gotta find a place to watch it. If it’s available on DVD/Blu-Ray later, I suppose I have to get it.
Growing up as a kid, The Beatles were the first rock band I ever listened to and to this very day, they are my favorite. During that time, George Harrison became my favorite. He was quiet, but I knew that he was so intelligent.
Now we have this awesome movie about him coming out. I don’t know if I can wait so long for this. He simply was an amazing musician and a person to this world. This is going to be awesome!!!
Forever my favorite.
