The Boston Marathon tragedy and how sometimes we just will never understand

I don’t get it. I don’t understand why someone would do this. In fact, I don’t understand any kind of violence like this.

What good does it do when you set off explosives or hurt a mass amount of people like this? I don’t get it. I don’t want to get it. I don’t want to understand what kind of sick, twisted mindset one has to be in to plan such an occurrence.

But through these kind of evil acts, I am always reminded that good will always triumph evil. No matter what kind of evil finds its way into our lives, there are way more good people that will stop it. We might suffer in the process, but we’re stronger because of it.

As I watched all the new unfold and keeping my eyes on Twitter, I just saw so many people doing good. So many people were helping others, trying to bring relief to a shocking incident. That’s why I will never lose faith in this world. Despite all our differences as humans, we are still humans. We care for each other.

Sometimes one or two people every now and then don’t get it and harm one another. But there are enough people out there that care and want to bring good into this world. That’s what I saw today.

I pray for those who died. I pray for those who were seriously injured. I pray for all the families and friends affected and all those involved in the rescue. We have to remember that the good of these people will help us get up and stand once again.
